Colors shift across this series of portrait studies. Shapes and light form the faces of the people around me. I mix abstraction with observation, finding new angles and expressions.
The cyanotype backgrounds come from plants I collect around my neighborhood in spring and expose to the sun on my roof in Brooklyn, adding something unpredictable.
