We have raised
$90 of the $1,000 goal!

In reflecting on our great fortune of getting to be together & having our needs met, I ask that as a gift to me, you make a contribution that will go to two initiatives that are important to me & that are both lead by Palestinian women I know personally in NYC.
This set $ goal can be reached by us working together and would bring me great joy for my birthday 5/1.
No contribution is too small! 100 friends give 10 bucks and voila that’s $1000.

About the initiatives:

~ Tuition Payment for Lama:: Lama is a female engineering student finishing her undergraduate degree online from Gaza. She is connected through a close Palestinian friend in NYC, Farah, who supports Lama as much as she can (while also balancing the needs of more family in Gaza). At the moment she has a balance on her 3rd year of school. I deeply believe in education work & supporting a young woman in completing what she has worked so hard to already accomplish is beyond a worthy goal. Let's support this badass woman becoming an engineer!

~ Gaza Mutual Aid Solidarity :: An initiative supporting basic needs for distressed families in Gaza started by my friend Hadeel, one GMAS goal is to continue providing clay pots and ovens for preparing & distributing fresh bread. This video here shows their efforts. Please note the young man in the video that is the age of my own children — he and others in his position have resilience I feel I will never know. Let’s make it a reality that by contributing to their efforts, those on the ground preparing bread may have a moment of breath in their days to just be — sit down, feel seen, and have energy to move forward.
